During the pandemic, while working in the center of Hamburg, I witnessed a massive demolition and construction project near my office—the removal of the City-Hof buildings. Captivated by the scale of the operation, I began documenting it, capturing workers, powerful machinery, the demolition of old structures, and the rise of new ones.
